Collections Officer – Legal Services

What your day will look likeThis is an exciting opportunity for candidates who possess strong Collections, Sales or Call centre experience. You will work towards individual performance targets and KPI's and will receive ongoing feedback and coaching for your performance.Duties and responsibilitiesHandling high volume outbound and inbound phone calls to defendants and third PartiesNegotiating the collection of outstanding accounts, aiming for a favourable outcome for our client  Perform administrative tasks such as receiving/responding to inbound/outbound emails combined with compiling and reviewing documentation.Build rapport with defendants whilst conducting assertive pre-litigation negotiationsReview files and recommend effective means of civil enforcementFollow up on enforcement action against the defendant and ensure all processes are operating at maximum efficiencyPerform customer location functionsCollate, maintain and update information and account records necessary to the legal processPrioritising your work to meet legal requirements and to maximise legal recoveriesAdherence to all legislative guidelines, which govern the industry including ACCC and the Privacy Act.Demonstrate professional call conduct with customers and third parties at all times Hours of workYou will need to be available between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday however, the standard hours of work for this position are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday and completing extra hours as reasonably necessary.About youTo be successful in this role you will:Be able to demonstrate strong negotiation techniquesPossess strong communication skillsBe able to demonstrate a high attention to detailHave the ability to build a good rapport with both internal and external stakeholdersHave a proven track record of adherence to regulatory guidelines and processesBe a quick learner who adapts well to changeWhy work for Collection House? What your day will look like

Duties and responsibilities

  • Handling high volume outbound and inbound phone calls to defendants and third Parties
  • Negotiating the collection of outstanding accounts, aiming for a favourable outcome for our client  
  • Perform administrative tasks such as receiving/responding to inbound/outbound emails combined with compiling and reviewing documentation.
  • Build rapport with defendants whilst conducting assertive pre-litigation negotiations
  • Review files and recommend effective means of civil enforcement
  • Follow up on enforcement action against the defendant and ensure all processes are operating at maximum efficiency
  • Perform customer location functions
  • Collate, maintain and update information and account records necessary to the legal process
  • Prioritising your work to meet legal requirements and to maximise legal recoveries
  • Adherence to all legislative guidelines, which govern the industry including ACCC and the Privacy Act.
  • Demonstrate professional call conduct with customers and third parties at all times

 Hours of work
